As the new year has been humming along for the past two weeks, I have found myself in a unique place. It has seemed like I have been standing on a very tall tower overlooking the new horizon. And I want to tell you, “It looks glorious!” I see God revealing Himself in an unprecedented way and in unusual events. And I see people who were dubious about the whole “religious thing,” having encounters with Him which change their mindsets forever. I see Christians waking up from their stupor and finding the fire they once had. I see a great awakening and a great transformation being spawned.
We have a great opportunity. God is going to be doing some great things, and we can be involved in them if we choose to be. The decision is ours. The empowerment for our involvement comes from Him.
So what do we do? First, we have to dedicate ourselves to prayer like never before. Through prayer our hearts are tuned to His and we acquire understanding, wisdom, direction, and strength . A fire, indeed a zeal, sets in and we become unstoppable.
We have a race to run this year. We start with prayer. We continue with prayer. We finish with prayer. A life filled with such continual prayer is one that is full of productivity and joy.
