Yesterday I talked about the powerful ministry occuring at The Ramp in Hamilton, AL. Karen Wheaton is the founder and CEO. But there are others who have joined with Karen to make this outreach so successful. One of those most involved with the endeavor is Damon Thompson, a native of Alabama who moved to Hamilton in order to accomplish God’s plan. He preaches regularly -with messages which go to the heart of the young and old alike to wake up and live their lives for their Creator.

There are two major themes: Authenticity and Identification. Damon teaches that so many are trying to follow the methodology of others without having that “authentic” relationship with their Savior. When we follow our Lord closely, the methods may change, but the outcome will be the same. We will be instruments of revival and restoration to those within our sphere.
Then where do we get our identification? Do we get it from our earthly ministers? Or do we get it from Jesus directly? Damon has a desire to raise people up to look to God for themselves. When their lives are connected with their Creator, there is a confidence and originality which brings refreshment to their own lives and those around them They learn to hear from God for themselves, to prosphesy for their own lives and ministries, to become true evangelists to those they may reach, to live honest and “real” lives as Christians – the way their Father designed their walk to be – lives full of wisdom, power, and fruit.
Much fruit is coming from the ministry of Damon Thompson. Lives are changed radically as young and old alike stream to The Ramp.
